Frequently Asked Questions
Why do you call yourself "Moo"?
It all started many years ago. Due to the fact that my boyfriend at the time was living in the southern part of NY state, I was frequently traveling through the Finger Lakes region to visit him. For those who have never been in that area, I honestly believe that there are more cows living there than people. It started innocently enough with the irresistible urge to hang out the window and moo at the cows (known as "bovilexia" to those who remember Sniglets). We eventually stopped and took some photos (see below). From there, I started collecting all kinds of cow stuff. A good friend started calling me "Moo" after that and it just stuck.

Where are you? Are you at work/school?
Chances are the room you are looking at is my home office/sewing room. I am a custom dressmaker and I also do computer work on the side. Since I work at home and both my computer and sewing stuff are in this room, I am in here a lot.

Who is that behind you?
Either Mr Moo or someone I don't know who has broken into my house to kill me. If it's the latter, please call the police.

How old are you?
Old enough to know you shouldn't ask people questions like this.

What brand of webcams do you use?
I use a several different types of cameras as webcams. I'm not sure if you can even buy all of them anymore, but they are:

Office Cam - Logitech QuickCam Web
Sewing Cam - Logitech QuickCam Express
Downstairs Cam - an ancient Sony Handycam camcorder
Random Cam - Panasonic BL-C30 wireless network camera

When your cams are on, can you tell if someone is watching?
The software I use to run the MooCams (excluding the Random Cam, which runs its own software) does provide information to see the IP addresses of viewers. However, since the software runs as a background process and doesn't make any noise, I'm never aware if someone is watching unless I deliberately check.
