I had a really nice time with my MIL today. We went to lunch at a salad buffet place and, fortunately, I was able to keep myself under control, even with a soft serve ice cream machine less than 20 feet away from me. I did have a bowl of clam chowder (I'm weak I tell you!), but I made sure to only have one cup, which is 330 calories. Not the end of the world. Aside from the soup, all I had was a lettuce salad with fat-free dressing and a glass of water. No pasta. No bread. No dessert. I went into the lion's den and lived. Yay!

We visited a few stores and did some shopping after we ate. Our last stop was a plant nursery. They didn't have a whole lot of selection because it's a little early still, but I was able to talk to someone a bit about doing some landscaping in our yard. Sounds like they are very flexible and would be willing to do just about anything we needed/wanted. I may get the pond and yard I want yet.

After a chat with my dad and a quick trip to the grocery store, Mr Moo and I had a nice dinner followed by a nap with the kitties. All in all, it's been a really great start to the weekend.
