My mother-in-law is taking me out this afternoon as a belated thank you for helping her with her garage sale last summer. I told her it wasn't necessary, but she's insisted and I figured it would do me some good to get out of this house for a while. The tentative plan is lunch out followed by some shopping, but nothing is set in stone at this point. I haven't eaten one single meal out since starting my current meal plan and I don't know how well I can resist the temptations that will surround me. I'm especially nervous since it's a Lenten Friday and you know every place will be serving clam chowder, my own personal kryptonite. Guess I better finish getting ready before she gets here.
