I took Zoe to the vet's office for a check up this afternoon. She's gained almost half a pound in two weeks! Yay! All of our force feedings are paying off. They drew some blood and ran her liver numbers again. The results were all well within the normal range. Whatever was bothering her liver before seems to be gone/over. Her kidney numbers were a little bit high, but just a tiny bit and that's standard fare for her these days. So, in the end, it was all good news. She's in good health once again. The doctor does want us to keep up with the feedings for a while longer. If we can get another pound or so on her, then we'll talk about cutting back to maintain her weight. I am so relieved!
