Synopsis of my phone call with the vet:
- Zoe is allowed 36 hours to feel like crap
- If she's not back to normal after 36 hours, he wants to see her
- If she has another seizure, he wants to see her, obviously
- We're upping her prednisolone dosage to 5mg per day instead of every other day
- We're also considering switching her over to anti-seizure meds (Phenobarbital) soon
- She gets sub-Q fluids again tonight
In a nutshell, do what we can to get food and water in her then wait and see how things go for the next 24 hours. He is very concerned about this progression. He's still fairly certain it's a brain tumor and last night's events would indicate that it's growing and getting worse. What's breaking my heart is there really isn't anything we can do about it except make her comfortable and hope we know when it's finally time to say goodnight.
So, now we wait.
