Today is day 11 of Josie's squamous carcinoma treatment. We have officially entered phase 2. For the next 10 days, she will get her medicine every other day instead of every day. For the final 10 days, she'll get her medicine every third day. Today is her first day off since we started treatment. Even though we aren't applying any medicine to her head today, I think I will still wash her up later on to make sure there's no residual medicine left. Afterwards, I plan to take off her e-collar for a little while so she can give herself a bath. She hasn't been able to give herself one since we started and she's starting to get a wee bit odoriferous. I will have to supervise very closely though to make sure she doesn't scratch her head at all.
