Tonight, I went slug hunting.

It's amazing how even the tiny amount of rain we received today can bring them out. I saw the light was on, peeked out the bedroom window and noticed about a million slugs all over the patio. Gross! And, here in Oregon, we don't get the tiny cute slugs like most places. We get the giant 6" long banana slugs. Double gross! I wear latex gloves and plop them into a milk carton full of Corry's Slug Death.

Best slug killer ever. Normally, when it comes to animals, even pests, I'm a live and let live kind of person. Slugs, however, fall into another category for me. They gross me out big time and, if I don't do at least a little control once in a while, they will eat every single plant in our yard. They also climb on our house and the slime trails, which are seemingly impossible to rinse off, can damage the paint. Unfortunately, it's a losing battle on my part since the detention pond is right behind our house. For every one that I manage to kill, there's about 100 more waiting in the wings.

Sprinkling them with salt is much more fun!

KELLY:
It's also an incredibly slow death. I'm not that cruel.

ROBERT:
I've only poured salt on a slug once. It was horrifying and I'll never do it again.
