For one of his Christmas gifts, Mr Moo and I bought my FIL a pair of onion goggles.
They're kind of like swim goggles with arms and are supposed to prevent the watery eyes you get when slicing onions. My MIL was kind enough to share a photo of my FIL wearing his new goggles.
It's Super Onion Chopping Man! All he needs now is a cape. :-) She said he said they work really well. I'm seriously considering getting a pair for myself since I'm a mess when it comes to chopping onions.
I've heard through other sources these are really good. Probably also could double as safety glasses!

That would depend on what type of plastic the lenses are made of. Something tells me it's not a very high density.
