Even though Michael Jackson has died and the world appears to be ending, I'm having a good day today. A dear friend of mine, who I had not seen in a very long time, came over today, along with her daughter, for a dress fitting. She's in a wedding in August. The dresses were ordered right before she found out she's pregnant with her second child. Oops! Fortunately, the style of the dress lends itself well for maternity (empire waist, gathered skirt front), but we still need to add some material to cover what will be her seven month pregnancy belly. Along with the dress, she brought me an extra yard of fabric from the manufacturer so we'll see what we can do with it.

After her fitting, we all went out to lunch. It was wonderful to catch up since I hadn't seen her in an age. The last time I saw her daughter, she was a newborn and now she's five. Yikes! Where does the time go? Hopefully, we won't go so long until our next visit.

Not long after I got back from lunch, I headed out again. This time to see my eye doctor and pick up my new glasses. They're still black, but I got a more substantial plastic frame instead of a wire one this time. It's quite a change and I'm still not sure I like them yet. Will be interesting to see if Mr Moo even notices when he gets home tomorrow.
