Wouldn't you know it. Less than 48 hours before we leave on vacation and Stuka (our parakeet) is getting seriously ill again. He's been doing really well since we unplugged his crop and got him on antibiotics. Today, however, I noticed whole lot of uneaten seed on the bottom of the cage that looked like it's been thrown up. While I was standing there, he threw up a bunch more. There looks to be mucus with it, which means the antibiotics aren't curing what ails him. The vet had mentioned an anti-fungal medicine when we last took him in, which is probably what we need to get. Guess we'll be celebrating our anniversary at the vet's office.
