Every day is an adventure with this dog. Today, I learned Oscar will not poop in the rain. A little sprinkle is okay, but not heavy rain like we're having right now. He hadn't pooped since his walk last night so I knew he was due. He barely peed the first time I took him out and was acting like he wasn't feeling very well when we came back inside. I knew he had to go. And I certainly wasn't going to let him go in the house. So, we got out the giant golf umbrella, headed outside and tried again. I must have been a sight all bent over trying to keep my silly little dog under the protection of the umbrella and focused on pooping. He'd circle around a couple times and, just as he looked about to go, a big drop of rain would hit him and we'd have to start all over. Sigh. It took a while, but he finally did his business. Poor dog needs to realize he's not in California anymore and get to growing some webbed feet like the rest of us.
