Good news on the Stuka front! He survived the night and gained 2 grams! Dang! That's like a 150 pound person gaining nearly 15 pounds overnight. The antibiotics are doing their thing and the results of his fecal exam this morning were much better than yesterday. The doctor has given the okay for him to come home today along with 7-10 more days of antibiotics. He's not out of the woods yet since he's still very underweight, but there is hope. The most important thing we can do for him, once he's home again, is to keep him as warm as possible. We already have a heat lamp for him, but we'll need to do a bit more. Guess we're going to have to bite the bullet and turn up the heat in the house beyond the "meat locker" setting.
