After speaking to thecommunity management company, it's my understanding that the architectural review board actually approved the color. The woman I spoke with said they've become much more lax and have been approving some odd color choices. So, unfortunately, it looks like I'm stuck looking at the butt ugly house. I've spoken with some other neighbors and learned I'm not the only one who thinks it's awful. At least I'm not alone.
