When have you experienced poor customer service? How did you react?

category: Blast from the Past

I know how tough it is to work in the retail/food service business so I tend to be super nice to people and rarely get bad service. The only times that I can recall getting poor service have been in restaurants with a waiter or waitress that was super tired and distracted. I don't have any horror stories to tell though.

Due to total incompetence on the part of the store, two failed deliveries of my new fridge freezer and a catalogue of unacceptable excuses, I was forced to go into said store and rip the ears off the manager. No amount of grovelling could dissuade me from accepting a replacement/a discount/a guaranteed delivery date. I got a full refund and haven't shopped there since !

You're much stronger than I. I don't have the willpower to walk away like that and usually end up giving in just to keep the peace.

ROBERT:
That sounds more like stupid customers than poor customer service. However, I agree that it makes no sense for them to put up a sign if they aren't going to enforce it.
