What mood are you usually in? Explain why.

category: From the Heart

I suffer from depression so I, unfortunately, tend to be down a lot. I try very hard to keep things in perspective and remind myself as often as possible of how good my life is, but it's not always easy. Seeing the cats and knowing that they love me unconditionally can usually cheer me up quite a lot.

Depression is the silent shadow creeping alongside - every so often it pounces and sucks me down into a dark hole of apathy, paranoia and self-pity. A hard thing to escape from, but when I'm not in a depression I try to keep as upbeat and cheerful as possible. And strangely enough, living on my own actually seems to help rather than make it worse. Not sure why. The OCD is still a nightmare of course. Took me 10 minutes just to lock the front door the other day. I swear my neighbours think I am a retard.

GINGER:
Maybe living on your own lets you feel like you don't have to live up to other people's expectations quite so much and relieves you of that added stress. And to hell with your neighbors. Who cares what they think?
