How much of a bargain hunter are you?

category: Personal Profile

If I have the time, I will search high and low to get the best deal on something. However, if I'm in a rush, I tend to grab the first thing I can find and ignore the price tag.

I like high quality and will pay for reliability,
form and function... but am a real bargain fiend.

I buy old computer and electronics hardware for
small change from the local recycling center, so
there is the proof. (I'm surfing exclusively on PC's containing recycled bits except ram, DVD rw drives and hard drives. I have four recycled PCs so as for the bargain bug I "has got it bad").

I'm getting into cycling (to offset the effects of smoking...) and my mountain bike cost me $A10.
But a replacement tube and tyre cost me $A20 so I have to laugh at myself about it. Good bike though...

I also, in moments of financial hardship, have really enjoyed scoring second hand books from the various charity organizations in Australia.
Then, when I have a few bucks and I am moving house, some of it goes back to the charity or is given to friends as gifts; e.g. cookbooks.

What goes around comes around, but in a good way!

DON:
Reduce, reuse and recycle! It's the only way to go these days.
