I like to think people are basically good. Yes, there are some truly evil people out there, but I think (hope and pray) that the majority are not. The world is in such a sorry state already. I can't even imagine what it would be like if the opposite were true.

Hi, I think there is a misunderstanding within the question. i mean people might be good or bad depending on the state of their own world. for instance during the 3rd world war the German thought they were on the right side for many reasons, following theirs leaders. I think we have a chance to have a majority of "good" people as fas as we place life as a definition of "good". The balance is not obvious since men use many reasons or means (religion, etc.) to give theirs own definition of "good". Each time life is not the top reason, but ideologies etc. we can see what happens. So we are all responsible of the "color" of the world, it is a daily fight through words, acts, education,...
