Do you think science will offer the "final answer" to all the world's problems? Why or why not.

Yes, because I believe in the Star Trek dream.

Yes, Science will find an answer.

But, Sadly most people will not follow that advice.

Example 1: A simple problem could be solved NOW if everyone recycled, but they don't!

Example 2: The world is overpopulated, but couples keep having more than 2 children!

Example 3: If Americans back in 1973 during the first real gas crisis had, in the mean time, purchased smaller more efficiant cars there wouldn't be the current gas problems. The real proplem is most people MUST have their SUV's or pickup trucks, or just plane LARGE CARS!

This list of problems that have ALREADY been solved, but ignored, could go on forever.

Science will, and has solved many proplems. The REAL proplem is people just don't listen until there is a crisis! And even then if they squeek by ok, a week later they forget about it and are on to the next crisis.

Just watch the news, it's a report of "The Crisis Of The Week" and after it drops out of the headlines, People forget about it.

Sorry to be such a downer, but thats just the way most people are. (I Hope I'm Wrong, but only time will tell)

ROBERT:
I think it's safe to say that they haven't found any evidence of Big Foot because there is no such thing.

MICHAEL:
No need to apologize. You're entitled to your opinion. I actually agree with you in a lot of respects. People, in general, are very dumb and lazy creatures. I sometimes wonder what happened to make mankind this way. Could it be that we really are a lost cause in the animal kingdom?
