all our lamps are on timers the ones we use. so they go off right at bedtime. come on when we get up and off until evening. I turn light off when I leave a room. Our porch lights are also on a sensor. |

Given the cost of all types of energy these days, I turn off most of the lights even when I'm in a room. I'm not a fan of the dark so there is a lamp in the hallway that's on most of the night (it's on a timer). Other than that, we try to keep all of the other lights off unless we're immediately using them.
