Aside from countless trips to the ER over the course of my life, I've been registered as an actual patient in the hospital three times:
- wisdom teeth extraction
- gall bladder removal
- lower jaw re-alignment surgery

Even though I've had some fairly major surgery, I've never stayed overnight in a hospital. I've always been operated on first thing in the morning and gone home in the evening.
