When I started working on this page, I intended it to be just for my friends and family to keep track of our goings-on. Well, it turns out that a lot of other people are tuning in who don't know a whole lot about me. Since that is the case, I decided to add SOME information about me here. Please be aware that, due to the fact that I've been stalked before, I need for this site to remain as anonymous as possible for my own sanity and safety.
I currently live in the Portland, Oregon metro area with my husband, kitty (Josie), two birds (Bungee and Stuka) and a quickly dwindling number of fish. The only name you'll find on this site is "Moo" (please don't bother asking for my real name). It's a nickname that I've had for what seems like forever since I have a total fascination with all things bovine. And please believe me when I say that there are no secret meanings behind it. It really is just the sound that cows make.
I was born and raised in central Massachusetts, not far from Boston. My parents, as well as my brother, still live there. My sister recently married and currently lives in South Carolina. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computational Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. After graduation, I worked briefly for a small company as a computer programmer/analyst.
In August 1995, I married Mr. Moo. We met while living on the same dorm floor at college in upstate New York. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering. Presently, he is a Hardware Engineer at Intel Corporation. Yes, we're both computer geeks. And, no, he can't get you computer stuff for free.
We moved (cats, fish, and all) across the country to Portland in January 1996. That summer, I completely changed career paths and opened my own custom sewing business specializing in bridal gowns and other formalwear. In June 1997, we bought and moved into our first and current house (which is finished now, by the way) where we've been living happily ever since.
