Bio

I was born and raised in Massachusetts. Much of my immediate and extended family still live there. I went to college in New York state and have a degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science. I worked as a computer programmer/analyst after college.

In August 1995, I married Mr Moo. We met while living in the same dorm at college. He has a degree in Computer Engineering and works as a hardware engineer at Intel.

We moved (cats, fish, and all) across the country to Portland, Oregon in January 1996. That summer, I opened my own busines doing sewing, website design and database programming, among other things. In June 1997, we bought and moved into our first house, where we still live with our ever-changing mini-zoo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you call yourself "Moo"?
It all started many years ago. Due to the fact that my boyfriend at the time was living in the southern part of NY state, I was frequently traveling through the Finger Lakes region to visit him. For those who have never been in that area, I honestly believe that there are more cows living there than people. It started innocently enough with the irresistible urge to hang out the window and moo at the cows (known as "bovilexia" to those who remember Sniglets). We eventually stopped and took some photos (see below). From there, I started collecting all kinds of cow stuff. A good friend started calling me "Moo" after that and it just stuck.

What brand of webcams do you use?
I use a several different types of cameras as webcams. I'm not sure if you can even buy all of them anymore, but they are:
Office Cam - Logitech QuickCam Web
Sewing Cam - Logitech QuickCam Express
Downstairs Cam - an ancient Sony Handycam camcorder
Random 1 Cam - Foscam FI8910W wireless network camera
Random 2 Cam - Panasonic BL-C30 wireless network camera
