Arizona
October 2009
My sister and brother-in-law joined us on this trip to celebrate my birthday at Saguaro National Park. We stayed at the Residence Inn in Tucson
and spent three days hiking around the park. Mr Moo and I also stopped at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument on our way to Phoenix to catch our flight home.
Montana
August/September 2009
In our quest to visit all of the National Parks in the US, we headed to Montana and spent a week at Glacier National Park. A week wasn't near enough
time to explore this wonderful park so we will definitely visit again someday.
Southern Oregon
July 2009
After living in Oregon for over 13 years, we finally made the journey down to visit Crater Lake for an extra long weekend. We took one day to drive
into California to see Lava Beds National Monument, too.
Seattle, Washington
May 2009
My Red Sox were in town for the only time this year so we made the trip up to Seattle for the ballgames. We also did a little Geocaching while we were there.
South Carolina
April/May 2009
Since Mr Moo had never been, we went to visit my sister and brother-in-law in South Carolina for a week. While there, the four of us drove to Columbia
and spent a few days hiking in Congaree National Park. The rest of the trip was spent visiting a couple state parks and Geocaching around the Greenville area.
Bar Harbor, Maine
September 2008
Normally, we travel to Massachusetts to visit my family for Christmas every year. Since we were plagued with
bad weather the year before and to change things up, we decided to visit earlier in the year in 2008. While
we were there, we took a few days and headed up to Maine to visit Acadia National Park.
Astoria, Oregon
August 2008
For our anniversary, we headed to the Oregon Coast for a short weekend getaway. The six mile hike we did wasn't exactly romantic, but we had a good time.
South Dakota / Wyoming
September/October 2007
Who knew there was so much to see in South Dakota and Wyoming? We spent 12 glorious days exploring some of the parks and monuments around Rapid City. Among
others, we visited: Badlands National Park, Custer State Park, Devil's Tower National Monument, Spearfish Canyon, Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial.
Seattle, Washington
August 2007
Mr Moo and I drove up to Seattle for another long weekend to see the Red Sox play the Mariners. We took in three games, but, apparently, I only took photos at two of them.
Massachusetts
August/September 2006
We had a few days free before my sister's wedding in 2006 so we did some sightseeing and spent time with family. We went into Boston, where we took a tour of
and saw a Red Sox game at Fenway Park. Also, as an early Christmas present, we took my cousins' children to a paint your own pottery place.
Lake Quinault, Washington
March 2006
We spent a few days in and around Olympic National Park in Washington. We stayed a couple nights at Lake Quinault and also visited the coast.
Hawaii
September 2005
To celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (which, technically, was in August), we headed to paradise, better known as Hawaii, for 12 days. We spent the
first few days in Honolulu and the remainder of the time on the Big Island. Highlights included hiking out to see molten lava pouring into the ocean and
going to the top of Mauna Kea to see the telescope observatories and watch the sunset.
Seattle, Washington
September 2004
Mr Moo and I took a quick weekend trip up to Seattle to see my Red Sox play the Seattle Mariners at SafeCo Field. The Red Sox lost (big surprise), but we
still had a nice time away.
Massachusetts
August/September 2004
Since my dad had a week off from work, I went to Massachusetts to visit and hang out. I went to Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, for an afternoon with my
parents, but, other than that, didn't really do much besides visit with friends and family.
Greenville, South Carolina
June 2004
My sister finished up grad school in 2004. Congrats to her once again for getting her Masters degree! In June, she moved to South Carolina to start her
new job. I flew down to see her the week before her start date to help her unpack and get settled into her new apartment. Most of the week was spent
shopping and just hanging out together. We did go out a few times to take in some of the sites, but it was way too hot to go out and do much more.
Oregon Coast
May 2004
As a Christmas present, Mr Moo's parents gave us a gift certificate for a 2-night stay at the Inn at Spanish Head in Lincoln City, Oregon. It included a free
dinner in the dining room and two tickets to the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, Oregon. We headed down there on Saturday, May 15, and returned on Monday, May 17.
Sunriver, Oregon
February 2004
We went to the resort community of Sunriver, Oregon with Mr Moo's parents, aunt, uncle and cousin. We all stayed in a big house Mr Moo's parents
rented. We also met up with more of Mr Moo's extended family who live nearby.
California
May 2003
Mr Moo and I took a road trip to California. We spent almost a week at Yosemite National Park and a few days in San Francisco (where we had the pleasure of
being robbed and the valets put a dent in the car) before driving back to Oregon.
Las Vegas, Nevada
June/July 2002
Mr Moo and I went to Las Vegas to celebrate his birthday. We left on Saturday, June 29, and returned on Wednesday, July 3. The highlights of our trip include
taking a helicopter flight into the Grand Canyon and Mr Moo getting picked to go on stage with Penn and Teller. I didn't keep a diary for this trip, but I took
a bunch of notes to keep track of what we did each day. If I can make sense of them and find some time, I'll try to write them up into some sort of narrative.
England
November/December 2001
Aight. So I went to England for a month and only took 6 pictures. Sue me! I got to spend four glorious weeks in England in November 2001. I spent most of
my time in London, but I did manage to get out of the city a bit as well. I spent a couple weekends in Devon visiting with my good friend, Chris, and his wife who
are, without a doubt, the most gracious hosts in all of England. Also, my sister flew over and spent the week of Thanksgiving with me. We spent some time in
Stratford-upon-Avon doing the Shakespeare thing, visited Warwick Castle, toured the potteries in Stoke-on-Trent and ran around London like a couple of crazy
people. All in all, it was an amazing trip and I can't wait to go back again. Please note: some of the pictures in the Travel Photo Catalog for this trip are my sister's.
Yachats, Oregon
February 2001
Our two night stay at Sea Hills Cabin in Yachats, Oregon, was a quick trip to get away for a few days. The whole point of the trip was to relax so we didn't
do a whole lot besides watch some movies, walk on the beach and fly the kite. It was a very lovely cabin and we hope to go back there again some day.
Europe
September 2000
Mr Moo and I went to Europe in September 2000. We spent a glorious week in Paris, three days at a castle hotel in northern England, and a fun, but damp, week in London.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
September/October 1999
I went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with my friend Kelly again in 1999. We left at the buttcrack of dawn on Wednesday, September 29, and returned the following
Wednesday night, October 6. Please note: some of the pictures in the Travel Photo Gallery for this trip are Kelly's.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
May 1998
I spent a week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with my friend Kelly. Unfortunately, I didn't keep any sort of journal so I've pretty much forgotten
everything we did. However, I do know that this is the trip that we did the Swim With the Dolphins. Please note: all of the pictures in the photo
gallery for this trip are Kelly's.
